TYPICAL RABBIT DROPPINGS
Rabbit pellets are constantly being expelled, one at a time and they will literally cover the ground in an area of heavy browsing. Each pellet is roundish in shape but slightly flattened on the top and bottom. Cottontail scat is usually less than 3/8" in diameter while the pellets of a jackrabbit may be up to 1/2" in diameter.
